Resolve in your mind to your fear you won’t yield!
Speak this three times then surrender to sleep.
Knowing that Goddess will safe your dreams keep.

Heaven and Earth to my delight,
Shield and protect me against the night!
Keep the dark creatures away from me.
Cause the night-sickness to flee! flee!

Circle of fire now answer my call;
Burn the dark thoughts that would cause me to fall!
Angels encamp all around my room,
Protect my dreams from impending doom!

Father of Heartbeat, Mother of Breath,
Keep all oppression away from my breast!
Feathers of angels now cover my bed,
Keep the dark Nightmare away from my head!

Shed your light now to make me clean!
Blind those demons that would cause bad dreams!
Now do I thank thee for setting me free
And give my allegiance to thee! thee!

If memory serves you than recite from your gift.
If not, then let what is written here be as if from your own lips.

Master this spell then make it as yours.
To your children this teach, to bar the ‘mare from your doors.
Again then again, can be used any time
To banish the Nightmare so, to you, she be blind!
