If you are considering taking classes at Unicorn Cove, please read this first:

People seem to have some misconceptions about what we do and how we do things here.

There are times when people come here looking for something other than what is provided by Unicorn Cove School of Metaphysics. Sometimes they are able to figure this out right away, but occasionally it takes them awhile to realize that we are not going to change to fit their idea of how they think a school of metaphysics should be run.

So, to clear things up in advance (and hopefully save some time and energy for all parties involved), the following is what kind of place we are, and what we are not.

How to know if Unicorn Cove is NOT for you:

If you are looking take a class so you can wear crystals and pentacles and flowy clothing and tell everyone you know how mystical you are because you have a deck of tarot cards and a bunch of stones, then this is not the place for you.

If you are looking to join a coven, sisterhood, brotherhood, clan or court, this is not the place for you.

If you're looking for a group to join so you can form co-dependant relationships and sit around and chat all day about all of life's ups and downs, this is not the place for you (this is a place of learning, not a social hangout).

If you are looking to attend our school so you can impress everyone here with how spiritual / worldly / well read / new-agey / open minded you are, this is not the place for you (we don't care how great you think you are because if you came here it was to learn, not to teach).

If you are looking to learn how to perform "natural magic" so you can spread your agenda of how it's ok to smoke marijuana because it's natural, this is not the place for you. (we do NOT condone recreational drug use of any kind).

If you are a "womyn" who is looking for a female-bonding group where you can all talk about your significant others and your vaginas together, this is not the place for you.

If you are looking to join a group of other like-minded souls in hopes that you can find your soul-mate, twin-flame, girlfriend, boyfriend or just someone to tickle your trousers, this is not the place for you.

If you are a bigot, racist, sexist, chauvinist, womanizer or man-hater this is not the place for you.

If you want to label yourself a wizard / witch / warlock / vampyre / sorcerer / wiccan / lord / lady and cover yourself with pentagrams / crosses / spikes / dark clothing so that you can show the world how edgy and controversial you are, this is not the place for you.

This is not a hobby, game, fantasy or something we do because we think that it's cool and makes us special. It is our business, our profession, our way of life. This IS our day job.

We do not teach people how to "play" at being mystical, how to read pop-culture books on spirituality and dress in goth clothing so they can feel as though they are unique. We do not teach fake swordplay, funny accents and wand waving.

Disclaimer: while there is nothing wrong, per se, with flowy clothing, crystals, pentacles, dark clothing, spikes, piercings and otherwise, wearing these things for the sole purpose of showing people how dark and mysterious you are is just plain ludicrous.

How to know if Unicorn Cove IS for you:

If you are serious about developing yourself mentally, physically, spiritually and psychically this is the place for you.

If you want to learn to enhance your vision, understand your dreams, develop your gifts, distinguish between what is real and what is made-up, this is the place for you.

If you want to learn to be STRONG, to stop letting people take advantage of you, to protect your body and your energy, this is the place for you.

If you want to develop yourself to your fullest potential--regardless of what others think--because you want to be the best YOU that you can be, this is the place for you.

If you are hurting / broken / in need of healing / looking to end an addiction and truly want learn how to be strong, healthy and free, this is the place for you.

We make NO APOLOGIES for who we are, what we do or how we teach.

If you don't like how we do things here, there are plenty of airy-fairy new age shops who will be happy to placate your delusions, take your money and be your ideal little social hang-out. We are not this.

But if you are truly looking to grow and evolve, to be strong, healthy and free, we welcome you.
