The new Unicorn Cove web store is now online. Currently we have listed all our currently available teas, oils and CDs from Unicorn 1 Records. Scoob was stuck in his cage while we celebrated Harvest Day yesterday, so he decided to take a bath in his water bowl (usually he has his bath in the shower, but apparently today it was more fun in his bowl). Silly bird!

At Unicorn Cove we celebrate Thanksgiving every day (because every day is a reason to give thanks!) so, because the true history of our Thanksgiving holiday is such a tragic one, we make a feast and celebrate this day as Harvest Day instead. This year was our biggest yet and we were blessed to have friends and family to celebrate with us. So to everyone reading this, have a happy and bountiful Harvest Day, from all of us at Unicorn Cove!

We have two new teas available at Unicorn Cove. Anti Trap Tea, for breaking bad habits, is made with a delicious rooibos tea base and Memory Restore Tea (self-explanatory) with an oolong tea base.

This is Scooby, our hyacinth macaw. If you’ve been to our school within the past 6 months you have probably seen him sitting on his perch in the store, pretending he doesn’t talk. Here he is saying his name (Scooby Doo!) and playing “Peek-a-boo”, one of his favorite games. He’s such a great little guy.

This weekend we had the pleasure of having Z’s old friend and belly dance teacher Angela Buttrey stay with us for a couple of days. We got to feature her in the film we are currently working on and also got to experience some of her stunning belly dance demonstrations and have some classes with her. She was gracious enough to offer a workshop this afternoon which had a large (and very excited) turnout.

Angela is an international belly dance performer and teacher and is the woman that Ahura Z learned belly dance from many years ago. She travels all over the world performing and teaching and is peer to some of the world’s most famous belly dancers. Angela is one of the people who had a major positive impact on Z’s life and, after hearing so much about his beloved belly dance teacher and friend for so long it was a pleasure to finally meet her and experience her dancing firsthand.

Angela, we all had a wonderful time with you and were thrilled to have you here with us this weekend. We are so glad you were able to come and visit us and it was an honor to be able to dance with you. We hope you can come and stay with us again in the not-too-distant future!
