Join us at our new facility in Casco for a winemaking workshop! This isn’t your average winemaking experience; in this class you will learn how to make a magical concoction out of fresh ingredients and charge it with the properties you desire. You will learn the basics of concocting and fermenting your fruit/juice/tea and will end the class with a gallon of your very own brew to take home with you*.
Admission is $35. We will provide you with a gallon glass jug and top fittings to take home with you to ferment your wine and will have sugar, water and yeast available as well as some fruit and tea bases to work with. This workshop starts at 7 pm (and will go as long as it goes to make your brews!).
If there is a particular ingredient you would like to use you will need to bring it yourself. Some good choices are apples, berries (any kind), rhubarb, grapes, pomegranate, melon. Other possible ingredients include honey, tea, spices and herbs of various kinds. We ourselves have made delicious wines from a variety of ingredients, so feel free to be creative!

*Fermenting is a process that can take days to weeks. Workshop participants will be instructed in how to take care of their brew at home and how to rack (bottle) it once it is finished. Interested parties may choose to make an appointment with us later on once the brewing process is complete for help in racking their wines if they so choose.
